With  heavy hearts we decided not to attend Yulin this year. Our resources are limited and we are continually  under much financial strain. 

Most of the dogs we rescued from Yulin in 2022 and 2023 still remain in a Chinese shelter.

This is NOT  the outcome we want for them, &  we need to stay focused on relocating them out of China to give  them the lives they truly deserve. 

Life in a Chinese shelter is far from ideal or easy. Yes they survived the barbaric dog  meat trade but they are never truly saved until they are on a plane out of China. 

It is deeply sad that dogs who have endured so much horror and trauma should survive only to spend the rest of their lives in a Chinese shelter. We simply cannot allow that to happen, even if it means making sacrifices.
