UPDATE!

Because of readers like you, Decaturish has officially hit our 2025 Fall Fundraiser goal of $40,000. This is an incredible milestone for a small newsroom like ours, and we are deeply grateful for every dollar, share, comment, and note of encouragement along the way.

But something unexpected — and game-changing — just happened.

A big Decaturish supporter has stepped forward with a challenge: They will match every dollar we raise between now and December 31st, up to an additional $19,000.

That means your support can go twice as far in helping us strengthen local reporting, expand coverage, and continue serving your community with independent journalism.

We didn’t plan on a stretch goal, but this matching opportunity is too important to pass up. So today, we’re officially launching our year-end Stretch Goal Challenge. Let's get the matching funds and hit $78,000 by the end of the year.

Support Decaturish and help us provide locally sourced news about your community!

Decaturish has had a huge year in 2025. Thanks to our readers' support, we hired a new reporter, launched a new website, and published our new print product, Decaturish INK. Your $35,000 in contributions last year made it all possible.

Now we need your help again. We're gearing up for a busy fall covering municipal elections, breaking news, local government meetings, and the stories that matter to your community—all without a paywall. But we can't do it without you.

Our goal: $40,000 by December 21.

You can make a difference

Join 2,800 paying subscribers who help us tell the untold stories of our community:

- $150 covers producing one in-depth story

- $1,500 funds an investigative series like our recent Stone Mountain city government coverage

- $3,000 supports a month of election reporting

Here's what we're building together

With $40,000: We can maintain current coverage and staff.

With $80,000: We can significantly expand coverage with freelancers.

With $160,000: We can hire additional reporters and cover new beats.

The results speak for themselves

This year alone, our investigative work has exposed what's happening behind the scenes in local government. We're reaching 100,000 unique readers monthly with 300,000 page views, plus 20,000 social media followers. When you support us, elected officials know their constituents are paying attention.

Local news can't exist without local support. We're filling coverage gaps other outlets have abandoned, keeping you informed about the decisions that affect your life.

Do you want to hear more of the untold stories of your community?

With your help, we can.  Contribute to our fall fundraiser today.
