The Care Project Foundation

The Care Project Foundation (TCPF) is a not-for-profit organisation which aims to promote the conservation and welfare of the Asian elephant.

Based in Thailand, we work to nurture and protect Asian elephants, reduce human-elephant conflict, and enhance interspecies coexistence through community engagement and education programs.

The Care Project Foundation believes that direct support for communities living with, or near, domestic or wild elephants is an efficient and effective method of encouraging peaceful coexistence between elephants and humans, as well as improving the overall wellbeing of the elephant population. We seek to engage local communities in development projects aimed at empowering them personally, improving their living conditions, and providing educational opportunities which would otherwise be unavailable to them.

We encourage, develop, and innovate unique solutions for sustainable human-elephant coexistence, and engage with communities in order to empower and educate. We share our knowledge and message of conservation to catalyse change and create a meaningful and lasting positive impact.

The Care Project Foundation team consists of dedicated, passionate, and knowledgeable professionals with extensive experience in a diverse range of fields, including community organisers, teachers, veterinarians, and media specialists. The process of decision-making within our organisation is informed not only by comprehensive empirical studies and high-quality data evaluation, but by direct community engagement and anecdotal evidence regarding issues present within these communities.

Every project we undertake at TCPF is focused on a cause we are passionate about, and has been thoroughly researched and planned to ensure the resources we have at our disposal are directed to where they will have the greatest impact. It is our aim to fully integrate with the cultures of the people with whom we work, and we endeavour to approach each interaction and situation with the utmost respect and understanding, while maintaining our firm stance on elephant welfare and conservation.

Each donation we receive helps us care directly for Asian elephants and the communities that coexist with them.

Sincerely,
The Care Project Foundation Team

Today marks my 27th Birthday and instead of receiving gifts, I would love to make a donation to the sanctuary. I was fortunate enough to celebrate my 21st Birthday there! Everyone works extremely hard there and all the elephants are so beautiful.
