THE BIG GIVE 2023

ConnectAbility is a relatively new nonprofit with a very important mission.  We work on behalf of people in crisis due to life altering brain and spinal cord injuries, and events such as strokes and amputations. Faced with these devastating events resulting often in life long disabilities, patients and families are at a loss to know where to turn. Take a moment to think of yourself in those shoes. We step in to help them navigate through the multitude of organizations and systems and programs designed specifically for their particular needs to restore as much normalcy as possible to their lives. For those suffering permanent disabilities the goal moving forward has longer lasting significance, helping each individual reach their fullest potential.  So for many who have lost hope, we are committed to holding their hands and leading them along this journey.

Our Crisis Fund is accessed by our Care Coordinators to assist individuals financially when there is no other payment source.  We pay for:  wheelchair ramps and installation, accessible home modifications (door widening, restroom accessibility, etc.), prescription medication, physician copays, transportation costs for rides to physician appointments, prosthetic assistance for amputees, durable medical equipment and supplies, housing/utility assistance, food, etc.  

ConnectAbility is truly a safety net for the individuals and families we serve in Bexar and the surrounding counties, all at no cost to the individual or family affected. 

Please send a donation to assist us in fulfilling this essential mission. These types of injuries or disabling conditions can happen to anyone, anytime, changing lives forever.  We believe at ConnectAbility that finding help shouldn’t be the biggest obstacle someone should have to face.
