Goal

Clean Water for 5 Villages in Karabagaine Ward

The Challenge

Nearly 9,847 villagers in Kitwe, Nsisha, Itahwa, Kasheya and Kiziru depend on contaminated water sources, exposing families to preventable waterborne diseases. Collecting unsafe water every day undermines health, school attendance, and productivity.

Our Solution

This project will construct covered water holding chambers at existing village springs, fitted with pipes for safe bucket filling, ensuring clean, protected, and reliable water access. Villagers will contribute local labour and small stones, helping move materials to the sites and supporting construction.

The Lasting Impact

Clean water access will bring immediate improvements in health, drastically reducing waterborne disease, and giving children safer, healthier conditions to grow and learn. This

is a highly cost-effective project—less than £1 per person impacted—with benefits that will last for years through community Water Committees.

How You Can Help
