Taryn Edwards for East Bay Regional Parks, Ward 4
Taryn Edwards is running for East Bay Regional Park District Director for Ward 4.
Her candidacy is rooted in a lifelong dedication to public service, community enrichment, and cultural preservation. As a resident of San Leandro, she brings her experience as a librarian, historian, and writer to this role. She holds a BA in Anthropology from CSU East Bay and a Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science from San José State University.
Taryn has served on several non-profit boards that champion the Bay Area’s cultural heritage and is passionate about working with people on issues they care about. She is running because she believes that safe access to the outdoors is a human right and essential for a healthy mental, physical, and social life for people of all ages and abilities.
Please donate to help Taryn preserve and improve the East Bay Regional Parks' natural and cultural resources and to protect these resources from climate change-related hazards and make them accessible for all visitors. Thank you!
