Goal

We have found THE BEST way to say, "Thank you for your service" to our Veterans. We're raising money for Bravo Zulu House's Canine Therapy Program and need your help. Whether you donate $10 or $1000, every contribution will get us closer to our goal. Thank you for your support. Read on for more information about Bravo Zulu House's mission and why the Canine Therapy Program will be an important part of that mission.

Therapy dogs provide invaluable support to Veterans struggling with PTSD

Therapy dogs offer a range of benefits, including providing a calming presence, interrupting nightmares, alerting handlers to potential triggers, and helping with grounding techniques during anxiety attacks. The unconditional love and companionship offered by therapy dogs can significantly improve veterans' quality of life and aid in their recovery process.

A kennel building with related infrastructure (water, electrical, etc.) will be built to house the dogs - one for each resident. Residents will be interviewed to determine the type of dog will be the best match and will be sourced through a network of shelters and dog rescue organizations. Our trainer, the Veteran resident, and their new dog partner will begin their program tailored and customized to each Veteran’s unique situation.

About Bravo Zulu House

These are the sobering facts about our Veterans that are the foundation of our mission to DECLARE WAR ON PTSD:

     - Every month, an estimated 27,000 Veterans with PTSD leave addiction treatment with little or no plan to treat their PTSD

     - Every day, 14-22 Veterans commit suicide

     - There are ZERO all-military sober living facilities that address both PTSD and addiction

We must act now to address this gaping hole in our healthcare system.

Bravo Zulu House (a 501c3 non-profit organization), will be the first all-military sober home in the country to help veterans with both PTSD and addiction. Bravo Zulu House, scheduled to open early 2025, will be home to 13 Veterans coming out of treatment for substance abuse with co-occurring issues of PTSD.
