Operating Donations

Your generous financial support saves lives! Donations given to Seymour Volunteer Fire Department provide the financial support needed to fund your local fire and emergency response. Your financial partnership helps firefighters and EMTs as we respond to your fire, wreck, medical emergency and other 911 calls.

In the State of Tennessee fire services is considered a non-essential service. This means that fire protection is not required to be funded by tax dollars, if you live outside city limits. Thankfully, we do receive financial support from the counties governments that we serve, but that financial support is not intended to fully fund the department. We still greatly rely on the financial partnership of our community to help us be ‘Here for You.’
