Hi, I’m Katie Spotz. I take on endurance challenges to help bring clean water to people who need it most.

The dream is simple, but not easy: go around the world by human power alone. No motors. No sails. Just rowing, cycling, and kayaking, one mile at a time.

🚣‍♀️ Fund the Journey: Your support helps fund the expedition itself, including the boat, safety gear, food, shipping, communications, and logistics needed to make this journey possible.

Leg 1: Row the Atlantic ✅
In 2010, I rowed solo from Africa to South America, becoming the youngest person to row solo across an ocean and helping bring clean water to 10,000 people.

Leg 2: Cross South America ✅
From 2023 to 2024, the journey continued by bike and kayak across South America, from Guyana to Peru, bringing the total clean-water impact to 50,000 people.

Leg 3: Row the Pacific
The next leg is a 10,000-mile solo row from South America to Australia. Along the way, the goal is to attempt the longest nonstop ocean row by a woman, the 1st woman to row solo from South America to Australia, and the 1st American woman to row the full Pacific solo. 

Leg 4: Cycle Across Australia
After reaching Australia, the journey will continue by bike across the continent, linking the Pacific row to the next rowing leg from Darwin toward Singapore.

Leg 5: Continue Through Indonesia
From Darwin, the route is planned to continue by row, cycle, and kayak through Indonesia.

Leg 6: Cycle Across Continents
From there, the journey will continue by bike across Asia, Europe, and Africa, completing the human-powered route around the world.

This mission goes beyond records. Together, we can help bring safe water to people who need it most, with the goal of reaching 100,000 people in Fiji and beyond.
