Support Lake Street in 2026
Stand With Lake Street Businesses—Your Support Is Needed Now
Our Lake Street businesses are facing unprecedented challenges. The Lake Street Council condemns the federal immigration actions currently happening in our community along the Lake Street corridor and throughout South Minneapolis.
Lake Street businesses need your support to survive this crisis, and your support matters more than ever.
This enforcement is having a direct impact on our business community: reduced foot traffic, fearful customers staying home, and business owners and employees unsure of their future.
Behind every storefront on Lake Street is a person—and the employees they support who are trying to provide for their families. When a business owner can't open their doors, it's not just one person affected—it's the employees who lose shifts, the families who can't make ends meet, and the community that loses its heart.
In 2020, you showed up for Lake Street. Your support of our "We Love Lake Street" campaign helped our businesses recover and rebuild when they needed it most. The challenges today are different, but the need is just as urgent. Our businesses are counting on this community to stand with them once more.
Whether you can give $25 or $2,500, your donation makes a tangible difference for the families and entrepreneurs who make our community thrive. Lake Street has faced challenges before, and our community has always come together. We're counting on that same spirit now. Donations will fund Lake Street Council’s efforts to support local businesses.

Like many, our grandparents came to the US for a better life. They, their children, grandchildren, great grandchildren have benefited and given back many fold to the US. I honor all those who are also making that hard journey.

Our great grandparents came to this country as immigrants and worked just like today's immigrants to build a better life for their family. We make this donation in their honor and to honor the work of today's recent immigrants.
