Supporting Independent Scholarship

Chris Wells, PhD, is an independent scholar, author, and podcaster dedicated to sharing Dąbrowski's theory of positive disintegration with the world. As president of the Dąbrowski Center and co-host of the Positive Disintegration and PDA: Resistance and Resilience podcasts, Chris's work spans research, writing, community-building, and public education.

Independent scholarship means no university affiliation, no departmental funding, and no institutional support for the work that makes all of this possible—the research, the writing, the conferences, the travel. Your donation helps sustain this work and keep it going.

Current goal: Chris has been accepted to present two sessions at the Critical Autoethnography Conference in Brisbane, Australia (September 30–October 2, 2026). The $5,000 goal covers flights, registration, and accommodation.
