Your whale adoption

protects whales

advances whale science

We request a minimum $500-$1000 USD tax-deductible donation

The gift of a whale adoption:

When you adopt a whale, you become connected with that whale forever. You become whale’s personal patron, name him or her to honor a loved one, or adopt with your family, group or organization.

“Every single night I check my email for a Happywhale notification to see if one of my whales has been spotted. It’s like finding treasure or receiving a surprise bouquet of flowers when a whales I know has been seen.”
- Lory, Patron of the “Bling Pod” of twelve adopted whales

Whale patrons receive:

  • Permanent naming rights

  • Your whale named and your name (if desired) in the Happywhale worldwide whale catalog

  • A digital certificate of adoption

  • Updates on your whale sightings in real time for life

All whale adoption fees are tax-deductible to the full extent allowable by US law
