Support The Push for Improved Maternal Health Outcomes! Because every birthing family deserves a trusted partnership; before, during, and after pregnancy.
Pregnancy should be a joyous experience, but this is a false reality for many women around the world, including the United States. It is estimated that 700 to 900 new and expectant mothers die in the U.S. each year from pregnancy complications while an additional 500,000 women experience life-threatening postpartum complications. Pregnancy-related deaths can occur during pregnancy, at delivery, or up to a year after pregnancy (postpartum phase). It is estimated that 60% of these deaths are preventable.
Push is dedicated to improving maternal health outcomes by partnering with women and expectant families to provide maternal health navigation, care management, and labor support services. The work we do and the support we render as community health workers, health professionals, and advocates, would not be possible without the generous support from individuals, organizations and community partners. We are bringing awareness to the maternal morbidity and mortality public health crisis that has been a growing concern over the past several years. The current climate and ongoing pandemic has exacerbated this issue. Now more than ever, women and moms-to-be are in need of effective advocacy and education, in conjunction with action and a trusted partnership.
We are gracious for your support of Push and the women, families, and communities that, through a partnership with Push, have a better chance of improved health, successful delivery, and postpartum recovery. Any support you can provide is greatly appreciated.
