"Connecting Communities to Their Watershed"
We started off this year with Dr. Stephen Beckham's fascinating presentation of the history of splash-damming in the Luckiamute watershed, and then celebrated Earth Day with a volunteer mulching event at Luckiamute State Natural Area. Looking ahead, we are planning an exciting line-up of events for the coming year - including a self-guided tour at Luckiamute State Natural Area’s north loop trail, a butterfly and moth identification event at J2E Tree Farm, and an ethnobotany walk near Soap Creek, guided by members of the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde and the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians. THANK YOU for your support of these programs, and for helping us connect our communities to the watershed!
