We are encouraging schools throughout the state to experience our permanent exhibits as well as the upcoming Violins of Hope exhibit in person. We know that not all schools can afford to do this, and thus feel a sense of urgency to help them with travel expenses. The Holocaust and Human Rights Center of Maine promotes universal respect for human rights through outreach and education. Using the lessons of the Holocaust and other events, past and present, we encourage individuals and communities to reflect and act upon their moral responsibilities to confront prejudice, intolerance and discrimination.
