My ancestors came to the Virginia colony in the early 1620s starting one of the first British plantations . Ever since that time until the ending of the Civil War my people migrated to other Southern areas spreading their own personal brand of poison . By “ owning “ hundreds of human beings of African descent they contributed to the pain , anguish , and suffering of the many ! And contributing to the financial prosperity of the few , both Southern and Northern. Unfortunately the nation as a whole prospered from those in chains , the innocent and disenfranchised , and continues to . It must stop !

learning so much daily about my own ancestors, the Moors and Sicilia, this week I finally after all these years learned who the mosaic I seen in Sicilia 30 yrs ago and have a tile of...queen Candace..you did a story of Margaret Charles smith and put a photo of me with her...I am also a traditional midwife...you do so many great educational things...your podcasts are amazing too..big thanks for all you do. As a senior on Social Security, I am limited in what I can contribute financially, but I am honored to participate in your incredibly vital movement -- one that stresses what America is SUPPOSED to be all about: freedom and EQUAL justice for all!
