Kia ora e te whānau!
As a few of you will know, I have spent the past three years pouring all my love and energy into growing the climate parent movement in Aotearoa and beyond. With every fibre of my being I know we can collectively stand together and make the changes we need to ensure all our children, grandchildren and future generations are thriving in a healthy climate.
We are wholly volunteer run and thanks to the generosity of many of you in the past, we have managed to keep going on the smell of an oily rag.
We would love bring the #OurOtherMother exhibitions to your area this year. In order to do that we need YOUR help! If you can contribute the cost of a cup of coffee or more that would be epic!
If you would like to regularly contribute weekly, monthly or more then you are a ROCK STAR! This would help with operational costs like keeping our email address, website and maintenance, koha for speakers and training, enable us to keep meeting over Zoom etc would mean the world to us x
A little more about us...
Parents for Climate Aotearoa is a parent led climate advocacy group made up of parents (in all forms there is!), grandparents, childless parents, aunties, uncles, cousins, friends and adults who care about the world our children will inhabit. Who can vote and influence positive change. Because ultimately, it is positive change, we will all benefit from a more equitable and sustainable society, we will have deeper connections to each other and our communities and most of all our children will thrive in a healthier climate.
Our overarching aim is to engage with, educate and empower our communities to use their voice for change. However, to sustain our advocacy work we need support for both from volunteers and donations. Where your contribution goes to:
- The admin stuff - covering costs and annual fees for website, Zoom, email address, Canva (to create promo material), advertising, materials etc.
- Ongoing project support - our current campaigns like #OurOtherMother, lobbying local and central government, building/training and supporting our local groups, and gathering parent stories throughout New Zealand for an installation project and many many more!
You can assign where you would like your donation to go i.e. #OurOtherMother or Operational Costs etc.
