Goal

Dear Readers,

We need your help. The coronavirus crisis in Maui and elsewhere is a major threat to MauiTime’s ability to keep the island informed. We pride ourselves on continuing to navigate the many hurricanes in the world of independent local media, but this time is different.

Over the past week Editor Axel Beers and contributors Deborah Rybak and Jen Russo published over seventy breaking news updates on Maui-based covid-19 coverage.

We’re also doing our part to help restaurants and restaurant workers. Which are still open and offer take-out, curbside, or delivery? Which restaurants are closed?

100% of our revenue—advertising—is directly tied to people getting together in groups. The coronavirus situation has virtually eliminated this income all at once. At a time when Maui needs local coverage more than ever, we’re asking for your help to support continued coverage of everything happening on Maui. You can make one-time or recurring donations. We can’t say enough how much we appreciate your support. Thank you.

Your donation is not tax-deductible. MauiTime is not a 501(c)(3) organization. No goods or services will be provided in exchange for your contribution.

If you have any questions, please direct them to tommy@mauitime.com.

We would also be glad to accept your check made payable to MauiTime.
