Help Mutual Aid Medford and Somerville (MAMAS) Support Your Neighbors

Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, you, your neighbors, and Mutual Aid Medford and Somerville (MAMAS) have redistributed over $300,000  (if interested, check out MAMAS Money Transparency document here)! These funds have gone to support individuals paying their rent, utilities, groceries, and other basic living expenses. They have gone to support other local mutual aid networks struggling to meet requests from community members. The outpouring of unconditional community solidarity we've seen is truly incredible.

However, our community's financial needs are growing every day, affecting people unevenly across race and class lines. MAMAS is over $100,000 away from meeting the total minimum amount that neighbors have requested. Alongside the many other important things we're all doing to support our neighbors - from bail funds to protests to food banks - we invite you to participate in MAMAS’ community-wide, multi-prong fundraising! Your direct support will go a long way to helping MAMAS meet existing community needs and support the growing number of movements dedicated to bringing about racial and redistributive justice in Medford and Somerville.
