Goal
Hello, my name is Mark and I've set my self a personal challenge to row for 24 hours continuously on a Concept 2 rower, an indoor rowing machine. competing on how much distance I can cover in this time. I'll be undertaking this bottom numbing experience on 20th June 2024. My intention for this challenge is to help raise money and awareness for Lilomi, a tremendous charity formed by my sister Bethany Davies.
Lilomi (charity no. 1184858) stands as a beacon of hope and transformation in Sierra Leone, where it partners with Jonathan’s Child Care (JCC).
Founded in 2018, by my sister, Lilomi is dedicated to uplifting the lives of the children in the Bo community, with a primary focus on supporting JCC's impactful vision. Over its 20-year history, JCC has been a cornerstone of education and care in Bo, Sierra Leone. Lilomi's initiatives range from refurbishing facilities to championing educational projects, including the successful completion of a science lab at JCC.
Now, Lilomi is on a mission to raise funds to construct four classrooms on top of the existing science lab. This project reflects Lilomi's enduring commitment to sustainability, social impact, and fostering brighter futures in one of the world's most disadvantaged regions.
