Goal
KJMC Uzhgorod — the Jewish Congregation of Messianic Judaism in Uzhhorod — was founded on February 24, 2022, the day Russia invaded Ukraine. Families fleeing Kyiv found each other in Transcarpathia, Ukraine's westernmost region, and built a community from nothing.
Today we are 65 members strong. We hold weekly Shabbat services, run a Scripture school for 36 people, and operate a chesed (mercy) fund that has helped hundreds of displaced Jewish families — all without significant external support. Our leader's family has invested over $20,000 of personal funds over 4 years.
We urgently need a new venue. Our current space has no working heating (−12°C in winter) or cooling (+35°C in summer), and is too small for our growing congregation. Your donation goes directly toward:
• Premises rental (our largest expense)
• Chesed fund (food, medicine, utilities for those in need)
• Worship and streaming equipment
• Ministry operations
Even $5/month makes a real difference for a congregation this size in wartime Ukraine.
