Home Matters
When families accrue the many benefits of good homes in good neighborhoods, family members and the local economy prospers. Additionally, gifts to TND address health and income disparities. The TND-supported Housing Equity Committee focuses on bringing community members in and giving them a space to speak up about their experiences and what they want the community to work on.
Families in our communities are facing displacement due to rents that are no longer affordable. Unemployment in Chelsea and Revere is four times higher than it was a year ago. Donate in support of keeping families in their homes and communities.
As a non-profit affordable housing developer, TND earns revenue through our real estate activity. Approximately 35% of our annual budget comes from this self- generated income that we reinvest back into the community. The balance of our annual budget is raised through the generosity of people like you as well as corporate, foundation, and government sources.
Qualified donations of $1,000 or more to TND earn half of the donation back. The Commonwealth created the Community Investment Tax Credit (CITC) to support private donations to community development organizations like TND. Utilizing Community Investment Tax Credits enables donors to double their philanthropic impact. Half of qualified donations are returned to the donor as a tax credit.
