During Parvathy Baul’s first Europe performance in 2001, she discovered that many people in the West had a mislead understanding about the Baul tradition. When she shared this realisation with her Master Sanatan Das Baul, he asked her to travel the world, singing and telling the meaning of the Baul songs in order to share about the true Baul tradition which is based on a rigorous yogic practice.

Since then, she has continued to share the wisdom of Baul with people around the world through concerts, workshops and retreats.

In 2017 Maa Parvathy Baul founded the Sanatan Siddhashram centre in Bengal to preserve the essence and practise of Baul in the contemporary world. In 2024, Sanatan Siddhashram took on the work to establish a spiritual university, Sanatan Siddhashram Adhyatmika Viswa Vidya Satra. Parvathy Maa thereby aspires to create a robust practise space for diverse ancient Indian knowledge systems such as Yoga, Tantra, Ayurveda and ritual performing arts from different Indic traditions.

All the donations and proceeds from Sanatan Baul Association Europe activities go towards building and maintaining the ashram and its projects , supporting the Masters and practitioners of Baul and other adhyatmic traditions of India.
