UPDATE as of January 15, 2025: We have approximately 44 recurring donors, collectively contributing about $700 every month. Our goal is to have 100 recurring sustainers, collectively giving $1,500 monthly. Monthly donors are the foundation for our sustainability. Recurring gifts help us plan ahead and keep our doors open for community. Thank you for your generous support!


Eastside Cafe is an autonomous, local, community space inspired by the Zapatista movement and on the ground, Los Angeles movements for economic and social justice.


We were co-founded by residents of North East Los Angeles community in 2002 who aligned with Mayan indigenous values and their direct actions confronting capitalism.


Support us by donating towards our rent that goes towards community ownership of land and our ability to self-determine our destinies.
