Goal
Many indigenous Guatemalans have been displaced from conflicts and continue to struggle under a politically unstable government. This, coupled with recent crop failures, due to extreme weather events, drought, flooding, and soil erosion, has forced many farmers to migrate north in search of paying jobs. The Garden’s Edge addresses the impacts of climate change through agroecology, seed saving, water restoration, plant-based nutrition and by strengthening community-based organizations. Our integrated, grass-roots approach to building climate resilience shines a light on the interconnectedness of land management, food, health, indigenous knowledge, and local leadership. Thank you for your donation!

I continue to be immensely inspired by the work you do, the small steps that are so firmly anchored and then give way to taking the next step which eventually brings about an entire revolution in daily life for the indigenous people of Central and North America. Bravo to Sarah and to all those working together at Garden's Edge!!
