Support Black Girls CODE

Black Girls CODE builds pathways for Black girls to embrace the current tech

marketplace as builders and creators by introducing them to skills in computer

programming and technology. Radical action is needed if we are to close the opportunity gap for Black women and girls. We lead a global movement to establish equal representation in the tech sector. Black Girls CODE is devoted to showing the world that Black girls can code and do so much more. Together, we are creating stronger economies and more equitable societies—ultimately realizing the true potential of democracy through

diversity and inclusion.

God bless the young women who are dreaming big and becoming the developers and engineers of tomorrow. I've donated this money in honor of my grandmother who was an engineer at TVA and math professor during a time when not many women were in a STEM field. She had one of the strongest wills to live and made it 99 years. May you have a strong will to live and thrive in your pursuits young lady. I'm rooting for you and support you 100%. Go get 'em.

The recent #ActiBlizzWalkout💙 directed me to several amazing organizations to show my support against the harassment and discrimination perpetrated not only by Activision Blizzard but many video game publishers. I had plans to purchase two upcoming video games from Blizzard, and since I will no longer be supporting them, I would like to donate what I would have spent on the games between these organizations. You do absolutely amazing and inspired work, I hope this helps!

With everything going on in the world - (#ActiBlizzWalkout, social injustice, etc...) it's made me reevaluate my own actions - what I've done wrong, right and what I could do better. I'm hopeful of a positive future and realistic to what is present. Thank you for these types of organizations. GG

With the recent events occurring at Activision Blizzard and the inequality being blatantly obvious within the industry, I had been given incentive to search out ways to help. I then stumbled across this foundation, and upon further thinking, I also noticed the lack of POC in my University. I study a Bachelor of Game Art and have had the most wonderful time during my course. And it pains me to know that there are girls out there, missing out on these kinds of opportunities. What a disappointment it is that after our millions of years evolving together, negligence towards our brothers and sisters still occurs just because of their skin. I want a world where we're all comfortably people. Where opportunities present themselves to everybody, from every corner of the world. So I want to contribute in any way a student can. I wish this foundation all the best and utmost success. I will see these girls in the industry one day fulfilling their dreams I'm sure!
