Support Black Girls CODE
Black Girls CODE builds pathways for Black girls to embrace the current tech
marketplace as builders and creators by introducing them to skills in computer
programming and technology. Radical action is needed if we are to close the opportunity gap for Black women and girls. We lead a global movement to establish equal representation in the tech sector. Black Girls CODE is devoted to showing the world that Black girls can code and do so much more. Together, we are creating stronger economies and more equitable societies—ultimately realizing the true potential of democracy through
diversity and inclusion.

Thank you for providing programs and resources to inspire and educate young Black girls. As someone currently in the tech/engineering educational sector, I am hopeful for the future. This donation is the result of my BGC fundraiser in celebration of Juneteenth -- to celebrate Black girls in tech.

I am a female software engineer. When I started to take classes to major in CS, my parents were having a little concern that I may need to work extra hard to get recognized because it is an industry with way more males than females. I am glad though that my parents have been supportive even with concern, and my school and company have been great environments for me to grow and learn. I really hope this fund can be used in some way that encourages more girls to learn coding.
