Support Aquarium Gallery Residency

The Aquarium Gallery and Studios provides affordable working space to New Orleans based artists, a monthly exhibition space for established and emerging artists, and a free monthly residency for local and visiting creators. By providing the space and time for new and emerging artists to explore their practice and exhibit their work we hope to create a jumping off point for exploration as well as platforming local talent and providing housing and space for local and out of town creators. We do not take any % of sales from the gallery and we only have a $10 application fee for the art residency.

The Aquarium Gallery has 11 collective members. Each member has an art studio and helps book the monthly gallery shows and our art residents. Between the residency, studios and events in one year we can host 23-35 artists. We host open hours on 2nd Saturday with appointments available after that. We encourage the artist showing in the gallery to choose open hours throughout the month but with funding would like to have open hours to the public on weekends.
