Dakota Jones is heading to the Jackpot Ultras in Las Vegas — host of the 2025 USATF Road 100 Mile Championship — to attempt a new American record and raise $30,000 for Footprints!
And I'm heading out to meet up with him, running a 12-hour relay with other Footprints folks to further the cause.
Footprints is an annual gathering of up to 15 adult campers passionate about just, community-led climate action for one week of learning, personal development, and fun in the outdoors. In 2024, we experienced a 100% graduation rate and 5/5 satisfaction score with every camper!
After graduating at the end of the week, campers become Footprints fellows and join our 18+ month cohort mentorship program where they receive ongoing project development support from their assigned mentor and the larger network.
Last year, we pledged that every accepted camper would have the financial support they needed to attend — and we made it happen. We need your help to do it again!
Our $30,000 goal we will cover the expenses for this year’s upcoming camp, including lodging, food, mentorship, and scholarships for campers.
Join us at the Jackpot Ultras on February 14th to cheer on Dakota and February 15th to support our two-team, 12-hour relay for climate action!

Let me seed the jar here! Many thanks to all that donate and support Footprints. Footprints helps folks like me develop climate activism projects through community support. And *you* are also part of that community. Thank you!
