Summer Supplies Fundraiser 2026

Every photograph, letter, map, oral history, and artifact in the JCHS collection helps tell the story of this place. Digitization protects those stories for future generations while making them easier to find, research, and use.

With more than 500,000 items in our collection, digitization is an ongoing effort. Each item must be carefully scanned or photographed, described, and organized so it can be found and used by researchers, educators, and the broader public.

Your support helps provide the specialized supplies, software, and equipment our collections team relies on every day, including archival storage media, scanners, photography equipment, preservation software, and secure digital storage.

Today, thousands of historic photographs, maps, documents, and artifacts are already available through the JCHS Online Collection. Thousands more are waiting to be preserved and shared. Every gift helps safeguard Jefferson County's history and make it available to everyone.
