Summer Lifeline: Drought Relief & Vet Care Fund
URGENT HELP – DONATIONS NEEDED – PLEASE SHARE
Dear loyal supporters, as we head into one of the toughest summers we've faced, we need your urgent help.
Vet bills have soared as we provide almost daily visits to care for the young and vulnerable, like precious little Albert Lambert, who came in suffering from internal bleeding from stomach ulcers, and the elderly animals like Joe the 15-year-old sheep, Didge the 25-year-old racing industry survivor, who require our constant attention. Despite our best efforts, we have faced heartbreak with the loss of little Flossie and Max lambs. The emotional toll of ongoing loss is devastating, but the financial toll of emergency surgeries and after-hour care has also been substantial.
As we reflect upon a decade of compassion and refuge, the stark reality is that we face a shortfall of $60,000 to cover the escalating costs of hay, water, and medical care. Every dollar donated becomes a lifeline, a gesture of love and support, directly impacting the lives of our animal residents.
Your generosity has always been the heartbeat of Little Oak, and today, as we prepare to navigate this crisis, we turn to you with hope and gratitude. Here's how your contribution can make a tangible difference:
- $25 provides a bale of hay, crucial nourishment for our residents.
- $75 sustains a rescued pig for a week, ensuring their well-being.
- $250 supports our cows, the gentle giants, for a week.
For those in a position to contribute more substantially, naming opportunities are available, leaving a lasting legacy within our sanctuary:
- $2,500 (covers a standard month of vet costs without any emergencies) a eucalyptus tree planted with a tree guard and plaque in your name (watered using greywater)
- $5,000 (covers a month of vet costs, including emergency care) a shelter erected and named in your honour (only 2 available)
Every contribution, no matter its size, has a real and immediate impact for the animals. Our commitment to providing a lifelong refuge for these animals is only made possible through your support.
Please stand with us as we navigate this challenging summer and incredibly stressful fire season. Help us raise the crucial $60,000 needed to ensure every resident of Little Oak receives the care and love they deserve. Your donations are tax-deductible over $2, and your generosity has never been more vital.
After donating, please share on social media, and help us spread the word. Together, we can make a difference and uphold our promise to these precious lives.
With heartfelt gratitude and hope,
Kate & James Co-Founders, Little Oak Sanctuary
