Hi, 
I'm Alessandra, the co-founder of Le Impronte Del Bosco, a non-profit org through which we are building a farm sanctuary for 185 goats, 39 sheep, a  herd of 79 cows (half of which are neutered bulls!), 10 pigs, 2 horses, 22 dogs and 10 cats... in Tuscany, Italy!

The history of our farm sanctuary under construction is a bit wild!

Back in 2021 Luca, the owner of a milk farm went to prison (for other things), had a radical change of mind and asked for help to save the animals that lived at the farm.
Before my own epiphany, I used to work at the farm!
When Luca was arrested I immediately moved up to the farm and spent two and a half months alone caring for 500 animals.
I contacted the Italian Net Of Sanctuaries to find safe forever homes for 280 sheep and goats, but after months of hardships we decided that the only way to keep the bonded cow herd together was to build a sanctuary for all of them, because no one else and no other org or existing sanctuary was ready or willing to care for them.

I drained my own financial resources very quickly so we started with zero resources and 340 animals.
