180 Skate Summer Fundraiser

I’ve been skateboarding since I was 7 years old, and it’s become one of the biggest parts of my life. Being apart of 180 Skate has made it even more meaningful. It’s not just a place to skate — it’s a place where I’ve grown, felt supported, made friends, and learned lessons that go way beyond skateboarding.

Skateboarding has helped me overcome a lot, including fear after breaking my wrist. There were times I wanted to give up, but being part of this community reminded me that falling down is part of the process — and getting back up makes you stronger. I’ve learned that hard work really does pay off, especially when I finally land a trick I’ve been practicing for weeks. And along the way, I’ve learned how to encourage others and be a better friend too.

180 Skate has been a safe, positive space for me and so many other kids in Sarasota. Through after-school programs, summer camps, and community events, we’re building something really special — and we’re dreaming even bigger. Our goal is to purchase a van to provide transportation for kids ultimately to our facility where kids can come to feel welcome, supported, and inspired every day.

I’m helping raise money to support that vision, and I’d be so grateful if you’d consider donating. No amount is too small — and every bit helps keep this mission alive for kids like me.

From 180:
As the summer begins, we would like to raise funds for our upcoming summer camps, programs, and events in 2025. In the fall, we will be having programs every day of the week at skate parks, schools, and our 180 Skate House. We hope to provide our students with new ramps and gear so they are able to learn safely and efficiently. As we continue to grow as a nonprofit, we are planning to add new members to our staff and coaching team. Our ultimate goal is to have a vehicle to provide transportation to students and our own building to have additional programs and events at. No matter how much you are able to give, we appreciate your support.
