In 2022, we will send our scholars to four different universities. For a eleventh year in a row Galapagos will send up to fifteen scholars to Northwestern University’s Gifted and Talented Camp. This program allows our scholars to study a topic in depth for up to three weeks. Studies range from robotics to Shakespeare.

For the fourth year, we will send up to sixteen scholars to Northern Illinois University’s STEM camp. This program allow our scholars to participate in hands-on projects that explore a variety of concepts in science ranging from rocketry to coding.

For the second year in a row (yes, we ran this program in 2021.) We will send three scholars to Haverford University to participate in the Great Books program.

Finally, we will send our third group of scholars to Harvard University for a Model United Nations camp. This program allows our scholars to assume ambassadorial roles to debate and negotiate topics ranging from nuclear proliferation to gender equality.
