More than a curriculum.
When a school implements the full Success for All model, educators receive everything designed to work together:
Research-based literacy curriculum and instructional routines
Frequent assessment and flexible regrouping
Tutoring aligned with classroom instruction
Cooperative learning embedded throughout the school day
Leadership structures and schoolwide data practices
A dedicated SFA coach who works alongside teachers and leaders
Together, these elements help schools replace fragmented efforts with one coherent system built around a clear expectation: every child can learn to read, and the school will keep responding until each child succeeds.
Proven work. Real progress.
Since 1987, researchers have studied Success for All in schools across the country. The model meets the ESSA Tier 1 Strong Evidence standard, the highest evidence level under federal law.
In 2025–26, with the support of a generous donor, 50 schools across 16 states—serving approximately 17,800 students—completed their first year in our School Success Scholarship cohort.
From baseline to year-end, the percentage of students reading on grade level increased by an average of 15 percentage points across those schools.
An investment that becomes more sustainable over time.
The greatest costs come at the beginning, when schools need curriculum and materials, intensive training, and hands-on implementation support.
By year three, the cost of Success for All typically drops by approximately 70 percent as educators build capacity and the model becomes part of how the school operates. Reading gains, meanwhile, continue to grow stronger.
In a longitudinal study that followed students through eighth grade, former Success for All students continued to outperform comparison students in reading. They also spent 50 percent less time in special education and were 3.4 times less likely to repeat a grade. The researchers found that the resulting savings offset the cost of implementing SFA.
