Studio kit out - to create, connect, rehearse and learn
Clod Ensemble is moving to the newly built Design District where we will be based in a beautiful building designed by Mole Architects. We will have our own rehearsal studio, sound studio and offices in one building.
London is one of the most expensive cities in the world - artists and companies such as ours are under threat from rocketing rent, as well as coping with the impact of the pandemic. In a commitment to supporting the sector at this time, the Design District has offered us a 10 year lease at a low rent to help us to sustain and develop our work.
This fantastic opportunity will open a whole new chapter of our work - providing a place where dancers, artists, musicians, young people, researchers, healthcare professionals and students can gather to create, connect, rehearse and learn - where we can cross pollinate ideas and stimulate a sense of community and belonging.
This is a game changing moment for Clod Ensemble. Before we can start using the space properly, there are some essential works that need to be carried out including installing a sprung dance floor, good sound system, lighting and a piano. This is all expensive stuff for a small arts company working in challenging times and we have a fundraising target of £20,000 to complete the work.
If you can make a contribution to our fundraising campaign, however large or small, it will be hugely appreciated.
Your support will help us use this fantastic new space to inspire people of all ages and abilities to discover and appreciate the power of music and movement.
