The Strawberry Girls

Who We Are

The Strawberry Girls project exists to expose the exploitation of Moroccan women working in Spanish agriculture and to amplify their stories through creative expression. While many face grueling labor conditions, a unique and devastating aspect of their experience is sexual exploitation: lured by false promises and coerced into brothels and other exploitative situations. The Strawberry Girls is led by published author and advocate Marci, and centers the lived experiences of women whose hopes for a better life were betrayed by systems of labor trafficking, sexual exploitation, and abuse.
