    Black Transwomen Inc,  on behalf of the National Black Trans Advocacy Coalition and our allies are in enraged by the constant violence on black trans lives occurring globally and we need your help. 


    Please donate to help Black Transwomen Inc prevent and recover from the escalating violence experienced by our community.  Our phone lines and social media accounts are very busy from the transgender community concerned about their safety, they are requesting resources to assist with identity documentation/name changes, trans health navigation, accessing employment, basic food and shelter , grief counseling, self defense training, community education, legislative policy and police protections.  


    As of this day in 2019, one black transman has been attacked and nine transgender women have been killed: 


    ~ Chanel Scurlock, 23, a Black transwoman, was found shot in North Carolina on June 6.

    ~ Chynal Lindsey, 26, a Black transwoman, was found dead in Dallas with signs of “homicidal violence” on June 1.

    ~ Jazzaline Ware, a Black transwoman, was found dead in her Memphis apartment on May 31.

    ~ Paris Cameron, 20 a Black transwoman, killed in a LGBT shooting in a home in Detroit on May 25. 

    ~ Michelle "Tamika" Washington, 40, a Black transgender woman, was fatally shot in Philadelphia on May 19. 

    ~ Muhlaysia Booker, 23, a Black transgender woman, was fatally shot in Dallas on May 18. 

    ~ Claire Legato, 21, a Black transgender woman, was fatally shot in Cleveland on April 15.  

    ~ Kier Rice, a Black transgender man, was attacked at his place of employment in Killeen, Texas. 

    ~ Ashanti Carmon, 27, a Black transwoman, was fatally shot in Prince George's County, Maryland, on March 30.  

    ~ Dana Martin, 31, a Black transgender woman, was fatally shot in Montgomery, Alabama.


    BTAC continues to take a stand for our Black Transgender Community.  We are calling on the police, legislators, allies and particularly the African American community to take a stand with us to STOP KILLING BLACK TRANSGENDER PEOPLE.
