Small steps to meet a simple need: help purchase a dryer for Venezuelan refugees

On June 20, some of the current OTGI Volunteers will undertake a 35km fundraising walk in solidarity with Venezuelan refugees.
 
We will walk from Pamplona to La Laguna Shelter, located at more than 3,300 meters above sea

Most Venezuelan migrants travel from the border towards Bucaramanga and beyond. We will follow a portion of this route for a small glimpse at some of the hardships migrants face while raising awareness throughout  international communities.
 
The main goal of this campaign is to generate financial support for a clothing dryer for OTGI. The weather is very rainy, and Venezuelan refugees often only have the clothes on their backs. These clothes quickly become dirty and wet from long days of walking. Typically, Colombians hang their clothes outside to dry. However, since the refugees only stay for a night at the shelter, OTGI is not currently able to wash their clothes as they wouldn't have time to dry.

Dryers are much more expensive here than in the West as they aren't very common.
 
100% of your donation will go directly to support Venezuelan refugees. As a small NGO, OTGI is able to keep its overhead costs low. Your gift will directly aid the people of Venezuela in their journey across Colombia.

(Volunteers cover all of their personal and program expenses. No portion of the money is used for international volunteer expenses.)
