Are you up for the challenge? 

Statistics tells us that 42% of all human trafficking victims report that their trafficking started with a family member or caregiver. 42%!! That’s nearly HALF of all human trafficking survivors…. Except… we not talking about the reality of Family Controlled Human Trafficking NEARLY enough. This lack of awareness around the issue creates an even harder path to safety for victims. 

Survivors of Family Controlled Human Trafficking are especially stuck in these heinous abuse situations. When a parent or caregiver is a person’s trafficker, there are some very unique complexities of the abuse and specific needs that these survivors have in order to get free. The road to freedom is messy, difficult, fraught with secondary trauma and can feel impossible. 

At Mezzo Allies, Inc. we are changing that through awareness and education, advocating for policy change and direct survivor support. We are creating a safer world for victims to come forward and receive the support and help they need.

What’s The Challenge? 

• Commit to walking 30, 60, or 90 miles during the month of July!
• Create a personalized fundraising page to share with family and friends who want to support you in this challenge or join your team in doing so. Let them know how many miles you are committing to walking
• Gather donations and raise awareness by sharing either the Mezzo Allies Steps for Safety page or your personal/team fundraising page.
• Starting July 1^st, walk 30, 60 or 90 miles with us through the month, post pictures, videos, and comments on how it’s going and connect with other walkers who are fighting for the same cause! 
• Have fun, get moving and be a part of creating a safer world for victims of Family Controlled Human Trafficking!
