“STEAMers – Supporting STEAM Education All Year Long!”

Equity in science, tech, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM) education begins in elementary school. Children need to experience STEAM before middle school to increase their chances of majoring in a STEAM discipline and young children's curiosity make them an ideal age group to explore STEAM topics. That's why Marie's Kids is partnering with North Charleston Elementary to provide STEAM education to a cohort of 3rd grade students from low-income families. Our goal is to help develop a strong pipeline of diverse engineers in the low country through interactive STEAM education and local field trips.
