Goal
The Barbarians annual Stairathon is back again, this time we're going bigger and better than ever!
Over TWO DAYS, we have teams climbing the stairs from sunrise to sunset (6am-6pm) for mental well-being and suicide prevention.
This event will be raising funds to have speakers continue to hold workshops in WA schools, working with young people to change the stigma around expressing their emotions and help to build emotional muscle. Funds will also go toward mens mental health, with several Bloke's Night and Speak Up, Speak Out events planned this year.
From 6am to 6pm on both Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 April, we will have teams running the stairs at Stirling Bridge in East Fremantle (bottom of stairs is on Riverside Road, near the Left Bank; top of stairs is corner of Canning Highway and Stirling Bridge, opposite the Tradewinds).
A new team of 6 sets off every hour for one hour. Check back here soon for the lists of teams and their timeslots then donate to your favourite, and come down on the day to support your crew!
Please donate to our worthy cause - whether it be sponsoring us per lap completed or a single donation for our weary legs - every little bit helps!
Together, as a community, we can move mountains.
