Contributions are not deductible for tax purposes.
Contributions must comply with the provisions of the Ethics in Government Act. Contributors may not be registered as a lobbyist with the State Ethics Commission. Contributions must not be owned, in whole or in part, by a regulated entity or public agency.
Maximum contribution allowed is $2,800 per individual, corporation, or PAC election cycle. Couples may give a combined contribution of $5,600 from a joint account for the Primary Election. The maximum an individual, corporation or PAC may contribute is $7,100 ($2,800 to be allocated to the Primary, $1,500 to the Primary Run-Off and $2,800 to the General elections). State law requires individuals to report the name, mailing address, and occupation of any person making a contribution of $101 or more in a reporting cycle. Only U.S. citizens or green card holders can contribute.
