St. Vibiana Housing Stability

Most evictions don’t begin with irresponsibility. They begin with a gap.

A rent gap after reduced hours at work.

A utility shut-off notice that arrives before the next paycheck.

A refrigerator that’s empty while rent is still due.

Small financial disruptions quickly become housing crises.

Our Housing Stability Fund focuses on prevention. We provide targeted support to cover temporary rent gaps, keep utilities on, and address food insecurity when other resources fall short. Sometimes it’s a few hundred dollars to stop an eviction. Sometimes it’s help with a past-due utility bill. Sometimes it’s groceries that stabilize a household long enough to regain footing.

Stability is almost always less expensive than displacement.

Your contribution goes directly toward keeping neighbors housed, connected, and safe. Every dollar is used strategically, with care and accountability, to prevent crisis before it escalates.
