St. Gertrude Pre & Primary School - Kilimahewa (S. Fausta)

In 2019, Sister Fausta Mtweve was assigned as principal at this newly-constructed school in a small village about 80 km. south of Dar Es Salaam. 

In 2024, the first class of seventh graders graduated, all qualifying to move up to secondary school, a highly competitive process.  

The school is operating at full capacity, with over 200 students, pre-K - 7th, many boarders.  

As of November 2024, the big need at 

St. Gertrude Pre and Primary School - in Kilimahewa is a security wall. Because of the dire need, FOI board forwarded the money and will depend on donations to make up the shortfall.
