SPOUTS of Water: 3rd Annual Raise a Glass Campaign
Over 20 million people in Uganda don’t have access to safe drinking water. Want to do something about it?
That’s where we come in. SPOUTS is an organization that provides locally-produced household ceramic water filters (called “Purifaayas”) to vulnerable communities, such as refugee camps. These filters last for many years and eliminate all disease-causing organisms from the water, providing safe and clean drinking water without the need for additional treatment. In addition to installation, SPOUTS conducts extensive training with beneficiaries to ensure proper usage and maintenance, and works closely with local implementing partners to ensure that the work has as much impact and is as sustainable as possible.
And that's where YOU come in! Join us for the 3rd annual Raise a Glass Campaign this December, in which all proceeds will go towards safe water programs across Uganda. This year, we are focusing our efforts across three programs: Water for Refugees, Filters for Schools, and our Health Center Community Model. These are programs that have already demonstrated positive impact in the lives of beneficiaries, and at SPOUTS our focus is to design interventions to be as sustainable as possible. All donations are tax-deductible, so your dollars will go as far as possible.
As we raise a glass to the New Year, let’s help raise a glass of safe drinking water for someone in need.
