Sponsorship
Dear Friend of the Narrow River Watershed,
We are grateful to our many corporate, foundation, and institutional funders. You can find the full list of these generous supporters here, and please read on for ways your organization can support NRPA.
Stormwater Management and Water Quality Analysis
NRPA invites individuals and organizations to help protect river water quality. By joining our initiatives, you support efforts with local towns, URI Water Watch, RIDEM, and RainSnap in identifying concerns and developing solutions. Your involvement aids water quality monitoring, stormwater management, and the health of our river ecosystem.
Environmental Monitoring
Eelgrass and herring are vital indicators of river health. NRPA monitors watershed eelgrass by drone and boat, conducting surveys in July and November. RIDEM tracks alewife and blueback herring populations, providing data to NRPA. The river supports freshwater spawning, and the estuary helps juveniles grow before migrating to the sea each fall.
Education Initiatives
Our education programs play a vital role in fostering environmental awareness and stewardship among students of all ages. Through initiatives such as the 4th grade osprey education program, we engage young learners in hands-on experiences that highlight the importance of local wildlife and conservation. Additionally, NRPA’s Lesa Meng College Scholarships provide support and encouragement to students pursuing higher education in environmental fields. We also recognize outstanding scientific achievement among youth by presenting Science Fair Awards, inspiring the next generation to explore and protect our natural resources
Event Sponsorship
Sponsoring an NRPA event highlights your support for the environment and our communities. Your brand will be featured in our promotions, signage, and materials, connecting you with an audience that shares your values. From events like the Turnaround Swim to outdoor programs such as “Navigating the Narrow” and “What Lives in the River,” your partnership makes these initiatives possible.
General Support
We welcome corporate donations and prominently acknowledge them online and in our community communications. Your company’s support shows dedication to environmental stewardship and strengthens efforts for a healthier Pettaquamscutt (Narrow River) River watershed.
With sincere thanks,
Veronica M. Berounsky, NRPA Board President
