Tarragon was born on a dairy farm, and her sole purpose was to have babies so humans could sell her milk. In June 2022, we were incredibly lucky to be able to take in her first calves, a twin boy and girl who we named Titus and Tabitha. They were saved from slaughter and have only known sanctuary life. We didn't think the dairy would surrender their mom to us for many years, but recently we got a call saying we could have her. Tarragon is only three or four years old, but after a rough start, she now gets to live the rest of her life in sanctuary with her babies. We only wish they could all be so lucky. This was an incredibly special rescue.

Tarragon hasn't been here long but so far she's confident, slightly sassy, and sweet. In typical dairy cow fashion, she's quite used to humans touching her and she's not shy. She's seems to trust us already and we're so excited for her to be reunited with her twins after her quarantine time is up!
