Miss Piggy: A Story of Resilience and Hope

Meet Miss Piggy, one of the brave senior pigs at Outsiders, whose journey is a testament to the incredible strength of the animals we rescue. Miss Piggy’s life started out in unimaginable circumstances. She was found as a stray, wandering the busy streets near Atlanta, alone and vulnerable. It’s heartbreaking to think of her in that moment—exposed to danger and uncertainty.

As if the fear of being alone wasn't enough, Miss Piggy was also attacked by dogs during her time on the streets, leaving her with severe injuries. Her ears were torn away, and she suffered nerve damage in her legs and neck. Yet, despite the pain and trauma, Miss Piggy’s spirit remained unbroken.

Her first rescue mom found her during this dark chapter, and she took Miss Piggy in, offering her love, care, and a safe haven. But life can be unpredictable, and when her first mom tragically lost her farm, Miss Piggy once again found herself in need of help. That’s when she came to us here at Outsiders—a place where we could give her the second chance she so desperately deserved.

Now, at Outsiders, Miss Piggy is thriving. She’s surrounded by a loving community of people who are dedicated to her well-being. Though she still bears the scars of her past, those scars don’t define her. Instead, they tell a story of survival, resilience, and the unwavering will to keep going—no matter the odds.

But Miss Piggy’s story doesn’t end here. With your support, we can continue to provide the care, shelter, and love she and other pigs like her need to heal and thrive. Your donation helps cover the costs of medical care, food, and daily expenses that ensure Miss Piggy and her friends live out their years in peace and comfort.

Miss Piggy’s journey is a reminder that every animal, no matter their past, deserves a chance at a happy life. We invite you to be part of this story of hope. Your contribution can make a real difference for Miss Piggy and many other animals who need a second chance.

Thank you for being a part of their story.

***Other facts: She is almost 14 and has been a resident here for 5 years***
