Bella was one of the many Momma dogs that came in to our care with a litter of 9 pups that were born and living in dirt under a porch in a small rural town.
Bella was a superior Mom, one of the best we have ever experienced, but the time came when the pups were ready to move off into foster homes to prepare for adoption and Bella could begin the process of socializing with new experiences.
Unfortunately, we found that Bella is extremely fearful of other dogs and highly reactive to vehicles. She lashes out at passing cars and even anticipates them coming down the street.
Her anxiety is so great that our veterinarian has placed Bella on anti-anxiety drugs to help with desensitization and her triggers.
Bella is the sweetest girl! She loves ALL humans and gives gentle kisses. She has the cutest little grumbles of comfort when she gets her ears scratched.
We will continue to work with Bella and hope to find her a single pet home, so she can be ‘Home for the Holidays!’
